1. Introduction

Zerrar helps businesses in Nigeria sell products, take service bookings and manage rentals through their own store link. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. It complies with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) 2019 and, where applicable, the GDPR.

2. Information we collect

Account details: name, email address, phone number, business name, business type and password (stored encrypted).
Business data you add: products, services, orders, bookings, customer names and contact details, expenses.
Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and error logs.

We do not store card numbers. Payments are handled by Paystack, Flutterwave and Monnify.

3. How we use information

To create and run your account, provide the platform, send account and order notifications, give support, prevent fraud and abuse, improve the service, and meet legal obligations.

4. Google Sign-In and Google user data

You can create an account or sign in with Google. We request only the scopes openid, email and profile.

Data we access: your email address (and whether Google has verified it), your first and last name, and your Google account ID.
How we use it: only to create your Zerrar account, sign you in, identify you in the app, and contact you about your account.
What we do not do: we do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar or any other Google service, and we do not use Google data for advertising.
Sharing: Google user data is not sold, rented or shared with third parties, except hosting providers that run our platform.
Storage and retention: kept in our encrypted database while your account is active, and deleted within 90 days after account closure.
Deleting your data: email [email protected] to delete your account and the Google data we hold. You can also remove Zerrar's access in your Google Account permissions.

Zerrar's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Zerrar (hosting, email delivery, payments, media storage), when required by law, in a business transfer, or with your consent.

6. Security and retention

We use TLS encryption, access controls, hashed passwords and regular backups. Account data is kept while your account is active and for 90 days after closure. Transaction records are kept for 7 years as required by Nigerian tax rules.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, object to processing, or withdraw consent, by emailing [email protected]. We respond within 30 days. In Nigeria you may complain to NITDA.

8. Children

Zerrar is not intended for anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We will update the date above when this policy changes and notify you of material changes by email.
